Creation workflow
Choose a production method based on how much control you need over the first draft. Both methods lead to a project that can be reviewed and refined before delivery.
Compare the methods
| Area | Human-led production with AI assistance | Automated AI multi-voice production |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | A manuscript and a production plan | A manuscript submitted to the automated workflow |
| Your work | Review the script, assign voices, produce audio, edit, and review | Review the generated project and correct passages as needed |
| Voices | Human performers, AI voices, or both | AI voices for the initial production |
| Best suited to | Detailed performance direction and collaborative production | Preparing an initial multi-character audio version at scale |
| Costs | Membership benefits and credits for the AI operations used | Credits for the automated processing shown before submission |
Automation prepares a result; listening and editorial review remain part of deciding whether it is ready to publish.
Human-led production with AI assistance
- Upload the manuscript and check Smart Chapter Split.
- Review the Smart Scripting result in Script Editor.
- Check characters, assign performers or AI voices, and add performance guidance.
- Generate AI audio or record human performances. Use Smart Alignment for long external recordings that need matching.
- Edit timing and sound in Post-Production, add music and SFX, and mix the chapter.
- Use Smart Review to locate differences in human recordings, then listen and resolve corrections.
- Complete the required workflow and download the final audio through Export.
You can give leading characters to human performers and use AI voices for narration or other characters. Audio recorded directly against a segment does not require another alignment step.

Automated AI multi-voice production
Use the automated creation option in New, upload a manuscript, and review the scope and charge before submitting. The workflow prepares chapters, characters, the script, AI performances, and a mix in the background.
When processing finishes, open the resulting project in the standard creation workspace. Check dialogue assignments, pronunciation, voice choices, timing, and sound before delivery. Correct individual passages rather than restarting the whole production when only a few parts need work.
You can subsequently replace selected AI passages with human recordings. Check replacement prompts and the current audio before applying changes, then update the mix.

Common questions
Do I need a team? No. Solo projects let you handle the workflow yourself. Team and Business memberships support collaborative production when you need a crew.
Can I mix human and AI voices? Yes. Assign the appropriate performer or AI voice to each character and check the affected recordings when changing an assignment.
Is the generated result ready to publish automatically? Review it first. An automated production can still need corrections to text, character assignments, pronunciation, pacing, and editing.
