Collaboration overview

Collaborative production assigns different parts of an audiobook to the people best suited to them. Audimind connects chapter tasks, permissions, comments, and Issues so each handoff remains visible.

Understand the objects

ObjectMeaning
TeamThe shared workspace for an organization and its assets
ProjectOne production, containing chapters, characters, scripts, and audio
CrewPeople and assigned production voices working within a project
CharacterA person or narrator in the story, assigned a human performer or AI voice
RoleA set of permissions controlling what a member can do
DutyThe member's production responsibility, such as Script Editor or Review

An organizational team member does not automatically have a duty in every project. AI voices can appear alongside assigned performers, but do not occupy human project seats.

Solo and collaborative modes

Solo mode lets one creator handle production without assigning crew tasks. Collaborative mode enables duties, tasks, and member management. Change the mode in Project Settings → Creation Mode when needed.

Before returning to solo mode, resolve or cancel outstanding assigned tasks and review the mode-change prompt. Assigning a duty can enable collaboration automatically in some flows; follow the confirmation shown when adding members.

Membership and seats

Collaboration requires active Team or Business benefits from the account responsible for the project. Invited collaborators can participate according to their assigned access; each collaborator does not necessarily need their own Team subscription.

Team includes 25 project seats and Business 50. The limit applies independently to each project. Buy Project Seats or Studio Bundle resources if a project needs more participants.

A practical setup order

  1. Create or choose the team and project.
  2. Add the crew and assign permissions.
  3. Assign Script Editor, Recording, Post-Production, and Review duties.
  4. Assign story characters to performers or AI voices.
  5. Check chapter tasks and workflow settings.
  6. Use comments for discussion and Issues for corrections that need tracking.

Project AI processing uses the project creator's credits. Check credits and storage before scheduling batch work.
