Which features use credits?

Credits pay for AI processing. Before starting a paid operation, check the charge shown in its confirmation or beside its action button. Use the displayed rate to estimate the cost of the operation.

Operations that do not themselves use AI credits

  • Manually editing a script or character information.
  • Recording your own audio or uploading a recording.
  • Playing or downloading existing audio.
  • Managing assets, comments, and project settings.

These operations may still require membership benefits, storage, or permissions. Processing triggered as part of an operation—for example, generating missing AI audio before playback—can consume credits.

Which account pays?

Project processing—Smart Scripting, AI narration, Smart Alignment, and Smart Review—is charged to the project creator, including when a collaborator starts it.

Personal AI audio tools—such as Voice Design, Quick Voiceover, and Generate SFX—use the operator's own credits.

Reusing existing results

An existing recording does not require a new narration charge just to play it. If the same unchanged audio already has a transcript, alignment or review can reuse it without charging again for that transcript. Check the displayed charge before resubmitting.

A completed transcription can still be charged even if alignment finds no match. A failed match and failed processing are different outcomes.

Insufficient credits or processing failure

If the paying account lacks enough credits, top it up before continuing. In a collaborative project, contact the creator if their balance is insufficient.

Failed processing is not charged for the failed portion; completed work may be charged. Check Processing and your usage history before retrying.
