Alignment and realignment charges
Smart Alignment charges for transcript generation. Review the displayed fee before submission; a new task is not automatically a new transcription charge.
When a transcript can be reused
If the same unchanged recording already has a usable transcript, Audimind can reuse it when matching again. The confirmation should show zero transcription charge for the reused work.
Changing the script does not itself change what was spoken in the recording. A transcript can remain reusable, but the audio-to-script matches may need correction.
When processing can be charged
- A new recording needs transcription.
- Edited or re-exported audio is treated as new input and needs transcription.
- An earlier transcription failed and a new attempt successfully completes it.
A failed attempt is not charged for its failed portion. That does not make a later successful retry free if no reusable transcript exists.
A match failure is different
Credits can be charged once transcription succeeds even when a clip is Unmatched. Matching quality does not decide whether speech recognition ran successfully.
Smart Review can reuse usable transcripts from alignment without another charge for the same work. Updated recordings or human audio without transcripts can require further processing. AI-generated segment audio is excluded from human-recording transcription charges.
Check before resubmitting
Confirm the input file, character, chapter range, estimated charge, and project creator's balance. Read any warning about replacing existing matches or manual work.
If only a few associations are wrong, manual correction can avoid repeating the entire matching workflow. A file name alone does not establish that audio processing is reusable; check the actual fee shown.
